Airports: Both Lee and Sumter Counties host local airports perfect for corporate traffic. Commercial flights can be found at Florence Regional Airport (30 minutes away) and Columbia Metropolitan Airport (45 minutes away).
Roadways: Lee and Sumter counties have direct access to both I-20 and I-95, while I-26 and I-77 are in adjacent counties and within a 40-minute drive. I-95 is a 1,900-mile corridor, the most traveled in the United States, while I-20 runs for more than 1,500 miles, from Florence, SC to west Texas. Additionally, our region is criss-crossed by numerous 4-lane US Highways including U.S. 521, U.S. 15, U.S. 76, U.S. 378, and U.S. 401.
Deep Water Ports: The Ports of Charleston are located just 100 miles south of our region. The South Carolina Ports Authority operates the state’s vital seaport assets in Charleston and Georgetown, a $45 billion-a-year economic engine generating hundreds of thousands of jobs in the state and beyond. Numerous companies throughout our region use these ports for both imports and exports.
Rail: CSX operates an efficient system of railways that links producers to markets all over the world. With more than 21,000-mile of track, CSX can help companies take advantage of the economies of scale to move materials and products more cheaply and efficiently.
